The Daily Mirror is claiming that the England international midfielder needs an assurance that he will be a vital member of the squad at Stamford Bridge to remain at the west London outfit.
The same report states that the Stamford Bridge future of Ruben Loftus-Cheek remains a source of major uncertainty and that the youngster could still be loaned abroad before the European window closes at the end of the month.
As per the same report, the Blues want midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek to stay at the club and fight for a place at Stamford Bridge and then re-consider the situation in the winter transfer window.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who represented the Three Lions of England at the World Cup in Russia, impressed while at Crystal Palace on loan last term and the midfielder, is thought to be keen on securing a regular place in the first team at the club.
The England international star featured during the Blues’ 3-0 victory over Huddersfield earlier in the month but he was not named in the match day squad for Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over North London giants Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, the Premier League giants will look to make it three victories from three fixtures in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they travel to play Newcastle United.
