The player was brilliant for Rood-witten in their Eredivisie title-winning campaign. Moreover, he was fantastic for the national side at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He scored the winner against former World champions Germany in the group match opener and provided a major assist in the second group match versus Asian side South Korea.

Across all competitions, the player has managed to net 18 goals and created 9 assists in 33 games.

The Mexican is naturally a left wide man but for his team, he has played mostly on the right flank in the current campaign.

Manchester United’s first choice left winger is France international attacker Anthony Martial and first choice right wide man is England international attacker Jesse Lingard.

Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez is the backup option for the left flank and the former Barcelona and Arsenal forward has been poor since moving to the Theatre of Dreams.

Also, the 20-time English champions do not have any reliable right wing backup option.

Therefore, the Red devils do need to upgrade the quality and depth of flank attacking positions and the Mexican forward would be a top signing if they can get his signature secured in the summer window.
