Feedback:

John-gotta tell ya--u've changed my daugjhters' soccer game. Their ball control, cofidence, speed of tranistion + shooting has separated them from the pack. Although they've always been pretty good players they r now the leaders of their Maple League teams.
After watching u + the possibilities-they r acutely aware that there is much further development

Dear John,
I wanted to thank you for today's session.  Sometimes you wonder as a parent if you dollars are going to be spent wisely.  In other words are you getting what you pay for and Victoria and I can emphatically say YES today.  I thought the training and scrimmage were excellent.  You are exactly right about everything you are trying to impart on the kids.  Victoria loved it today and we will be back for more.  We talked about how to fit in these sessions because her Western coach has Saturday morning practice and they are playing games on Sunday morning.  I feel however that your training is worth the sacrifice of missing an indoor game because she will get soooo much more out of it.
I also agree that she tends to play too plain and at times afraid to make a mistake.  She also needs to get out of her comfort spot in the middle of the park at times to make more dangerous wide runs.  Thanks again and I know that with some time these are things to improve on.  See you soon.

John-great stuff in ur email!
The sessions demonstrate real talented coaching----instruction, demonstration, drills, critique, motivation, + inspiration. Everything I know pro hokey teams look for in their leadership.
I read entire weekend review to Mia + Alexa. I see improvement in only a few short weeks albeit far to go. Although a bit tired in the afternoon after ur traing + lax games, they love ur sessions. Gotta think of a way to get a week or so w/u + the girls this summer which hopefully could. Include Chandler if it can b arranged. It would b much better than uibiquitous standard soccer camp routine where learning is suspect given the "down time" of breaks, eating, swimming. + general camper stuff. Let me know if possible. Continue to work my little girls hard--they can take it!!!!!

John,
I been invited to go to an ODP mini camp only 13 out of the 33 kids were invited. I just wanted to let you know that you had a big part in this and how much you have taught me. You are a great coach and you have pushed me and made me a better over-all player. Thank You very much,
RJ

Thanks John.
I tell you all the boys talk about is "John" !  Now they are always telling us what they did on the soccer field that they learned at John's and how much fun it was to get by someone or how they "smoked" this kid, etc.  What they have learned has brought them so much joy on the soccer field.  They really get to show their skills at ODP.  Colin and some kids that he has made friends with at ODP talk a lot of smack and he loves every bit of it.  The coaches seem more open to creative play and allow the kids to show their skills more.  Colin shines on his travel team and of course that comes with a  lot of frustration in that you can see a different level of commitment and of course play.  Colin knows what he wants to do on the field however the other kids don't and that gets frustrating.  He tends to not pass the ball as much, and want to do all the work himself.  Logan has stepped up his level of play....a lot more movement off ball, he is more vocal and actually has taken charge of the field more when out there.  He continues to try things despite the coach not encouraging it.
Colin and Logan both go out on that field so much more confidently it is wonderful to see.  They count the days to your training each week.  They truly LOVE soccer.  I just thought some positive feedback is always a good thing to hear.  Thanks again and see you this weekend.

John,
Because of my work schedule I haven't been able to see Sean play for about two months, and I noticed a big improvement in his game today.  I just wanted to say thanks because the difference has been you and your positive additude and approach.
Thanks again,
Paul of Hebron

John,

I also have some positive feedback regarding your comments about applying skills training in game situations with each player’s perspective club. Steve had a particularly strong game on Friday where he used his combination skills throughout the match with a good deal of success. His confidence on the ball continues to grow and his ability at one touch passing is a source of entertainment for the parents watching the match.

Steve’s ability on the ball is clearly noticeable and sets him apart from other players on the field. What he lacks in size at this point, he is able to make up with his technical skill. When I hear some of his teammates parents talk about how their kids are playing for three different teams at the same time this winter, I question the wisdom of that approach when most are lacking in technical skill. There is no doubt that Steve’s success is a direct result of your training methodology along with the challenge of the weekly scrimmage he plays in. As a parent I try to be objective about Steve’s ability; however his progress is noticeable and fun to watch when he plays as he did last Friday.

Thanks,

George of Kensington

To PST/John,
I just want to personally say Thank you to you and all of your staff
for your time and efforts with the Ethel Walker camp.  Marlee enjoyed it so
much, no matter how tired she was at the end of the day she told me
everything she did, and how much fun she had no matter what it was.  She
even said how much fun it was to run up the hill.  When a kid enjoys running
a mile and a big hill, who usually hates to run, this says a lot to you and
your staff.
You all have a way of instructing that is truly unique, Marlee has
labled this camp by far her most favorite that she has ever been to. She was
nervous at first about the camp because she was not sure if she were ready
for it or not, but then just tried to apply what you have taught her.  Thank
you again, this was an exceptional camp that she is already looking forward
to for next year.  Please if possible send this along to the other camp
instructors who were there, and tell them Thank You from Marlee.
Wendy C.

John,
Thank you for such nice comments about Brittany!  I am sure  you could tell, but she loved every minute of camp.  I think what Mart and I were most happy with was the big smile she had coming off the field each night. She loved all the coaches and told us how she stayed behind with a few girls at night after dinner so she could talk with all of you.  What I noticed as a comparison from Will's camp at FSA was that they all learned new things while Will's camp was fun but really just "touches" on the ball.

Dear John,
I want to commend you for the job you did coaching this year's soccer team. While the regular season record probably fell short of your expectations, it was another solid step forward in building a top flight soccer program at Walker's.
It is clear that each player is developing greater self-confidence and, in turn, growing confidence in their teammates. I admire the way you keep raising the standards and the expectation's for each player and for the team. There were some solid glimpses this year that this will eventually be a real team that expects winning results and will make the commitment to achieve that level. In any other year good luck would have manifest itself a bit more in what seemed like an endless number of games this team dominated play, but came up short on the final score.
Take pride in all that you are accomplishing. Thanks for being such a solid coach and teacher. Thank you for setting high expectations for the level of play you expect. Thank you for your skill in also making it fun for the team and for the direct and balanced feedback you provide verbally and especially in writing. Thank you for your interest in bringing out Brennan's full potential.
Walker's is lucky to have your leadership and the girls are fortunate to have you as their mentor. Good luck in the tournament and continued success in building a winning tradition in soccer.
Best Regards,
Dick and Angela Maine

John,
Stephanie played two of the best indoor games of her
career today.  The Yale woman's coach came over to
Steph's coach, and said how well she
played today.  She was really pulling together much of
what you have been working on.  See you tomorrow.

First of all ... let me start by saying THANK YOU !
This is exactly what has been lacking for my daughter.
FSA (in my limited knowledge of Soccer) concentrates mostly on team
development; strategy, tactics (i.e. playing simple) which is certainly
needed as a team and is important for everyone to understand that, that is
the way the game is played.
What has not been provided is the individual development. Maybe that was
stated by the Coaches but, I either missed it or misunderstood. Regardless,
never having played the game I really can't help her because I'm learning
along with her.
We have been in the programs that FSA offers and as good as they are, this
was intense and more directed. John NEVER missed a thing and was all over
the "kids" with individual attention and demostrations. She really enjoyed
playing against the older kids and seeing where she stacks up (both good and
bad). John spent an additional 1/2 hour talking to us after the training.
She has been doing the drills every day since then (without any prompting
from us). These are much more expensive but ... you get what you pay for.
John's philolsphy (it seems) is different in this than FSA, he concentrates
on individual skills rather that the team, WHICH IS EXACTLY what she needs
now.
With that said I now know why you don't want this information to be public
knowledge ... FSA I'm sure would rather have our kids in their program but
....

John,
Kate is gaining confidence and skill. After the session on Sunday I asked her how she thought she did. She told me she did good in the clinic but not very good during the game (exactly what you said). You have been a great influence on her, she enjoys coming to the sessions and has a totally renewed interest in working on her skills and endurance. Kate (and I) cannot wait to see how far she progresses in the next few months under your direction.
See you Sunday!
Dan

Dear John,
Just wanted to say Thank you for this past indoor session.  It was
better than ever with such variety and added talent.  My kids, as always,
looked forward to coming, learned alot in so many areas, and most of all had
a lot of fun.
It is nice to see them using the skills they have learned and feeling
more confident with their play.  We look forward to continue training with
you and wish you good luck as you to continue to grow your business.
Thanks from all of us.
Wendy

John,
Thankyou for your e-mail.
I am very impressed with the way you are handleing Kyle. Your message to him at the end of training was superb and I couldn't have agreed with you more. I have tried to explain to Kyle the importance of training and being self motivated if he is to achiecve his goal of playing soccer in college. It sometimes falls on deaf ears being his Dad. I just was very pleased You took the time at the end to get into what it takes too be a good player. I can see this perhaps has been the best decision Kyle and I have made in hiring you to train him.

John,
All I can say is Thank you to you.  You have taught my kids so much,
and I have seen them grow so much in their skill and confidence level.  They
enjoy training with you so much.  They look forward as well as I to your
continued training as they get older.
Thanks so much.

John:
We have just come in from camp and I wanted to convey to you our thanks for a great week!  I know this must have been a tough week for you but once again, your camp has exceeded our expectations.  Both Brittany and Will had a great time and came home each day tired but invigorated and excited about what they had learned. As you know Brittany loves every part of technical training and this week we saw Will develop more confidence in his play. They both commented that if we weren't going away they would have wanted to attend next week's session. That says a lot!  I also want to commend your staff - they were universally great and my kids loved all of them.  A special thank you to Andrea for taking such a great interest in Brittany;  she has really enjoyed both year's of camp with her.  What a fantastic role model!  I really think one of the things that sets your camp apart is the great staff and the great enthusiasm you all bring each day to the field.
Thanks again for a great week!

John,
I just wanted to say thank you for a great camp this week.  The boys really liked it.  You are a nice change of pace from our usual summer camp with FSA for the past 3 summers.  I've talked to some other parents who have now done both camps and they had great things to say about you.  Everyone seems to agree that our kids have learned more from working with you over a short period of time compared to other coaching and clinics that they have attended for a much longer period of time.
We hope to continue our training with you, but I'm not sure when because of a busy fall schedule with soccer and baseball.  But, we will certainly hook up with you at some point and we are looking forward to it.
Thanks Again,
LH of Farmington

Hi John,

The boys just LOVED camp this past week!!!
They are already saying that they want to attend two weeks next year.
Thanks for a great week.
See ya soon.  Let us know what your plans are for the next couple weeks and this Fall.
Have agreat weekend.
Thanks - IO of Killingworth

"The staff are well trained and they knew what they were talking about and could show alll of the moves." AB of East Hampton, Connecticut

"I thought it was actually great to have coaches that could actually show the moves and be players in our games."   CH of Suffield, Connecticut

"I thought it was a fun and very competitive summer camp. I learned a lot of new moves. The staff were very helpful and made everything competitive, but fun."   HS from Simsbury, Connecticut

Hey John,
I know my dad said I would tell you about my tournament this weekend but im too excited...I played one of the BEST games I've ever played in my life. I wish you where there to see it. I made so many moves I did the one where you do the scissor thing but with only one foot and brought it to goal on a break away, then I did that one where you knock it to one side and then run around them, I did the pull back to a croff probably three times, and I also switched to my left a lot. I don't know where it came from but I was shocked..ha-ha. I also scored on a  break away and I had an assist ( I crossed it and it almost went in but hit the post but my teammate was there to kick it in). I was so happy and I wanted you to be there so badly, I took your advice and took my time and it really does help. Thank you so much for teaching me all this stuff you're the best coach I've ever had.

John,
Just wanted to touch base with you ...
Kate is doing VERY GOOD ... calling for the ball, bringing it up field and faking out players... by far the best defensive player on the field ... and now becoming an offensive threat from the back!
I just wanted you to know what a difference you have made.
Dan

I hope as the training continues Your expectations will increase with his performance each week. My wife and I have told him the financial commitment we are making has to match
his commitment to improve. And if he shows commitment then we would increase his trainings. I just wanted to share that with you as I feel it is important information for you.
As you can see kyle does beat him self up alot, something we have been working on with him.  He is improving this but still has a ways to go.
Kyle would like to attend your camps as we both feel that your style of training is best for him.
      Thank you very much John
           Sincerely

"This national pool selection has taken her motivation
up a notch.
I was so proud of her and I appreciate all your work

will be back from Sweden a week from Monday and we
will update you then."  Judy

“By the way, we really believe that our daughter has and continues to receive the best training from your clinics. We've done a large variety of activities from CFC, FSA, MLS and so on, and truly, nothing compares. Thank you for your effort.”    MH of Simsbury Connecticut

"First-class training at an affordable rate. The trainer was very knowledgeable and the demonstrations were excellent. My girl was very impressed and could not wait for the next session. JR in Old Lyme."

"Professional in every manner, the approach, the methods, and the way the trainer handled my kid. I felt very comfortable and my kid loved the training. It is now 2 years and I could not be any happier with the progress made.  SS of Simsbury."

"The individual sessions are high pressured, very technical, and excellent exercises that are game simulated. As a parent, I never understood how important the little things were until the sessions were broken down and explained by the staff of PST.  LD in Vernon."

"The sessions are extreme in every sense of the word. The trainer teaches, but at a very high level of speed. Very hard to watch and learn in such a short period of time, but the trainer makes things look so easy, it's troubling. Excellent demonstrations in a very professional manner.  WD of Simsbury."

"I must say that I am very impressed. The trainer not only demonstrates the skills, but implements everything that he has shown previously in his concluding exercises. And in my son's case is a head to head match with the trainer. What an excellent example, not to mention, to see the trainer win all of the battles (he appears over 35 and my son is 17) is quite impressive. The trainer was very professional and educated my son on the mental and physical aspects of the game while kicking his butt.  ST in Westfield, MA."

"Coach K. was excellent. He was prompt, organized, and very willing to stay extra time in order for my kid to understand what he was teaching.  LK in Coventry."

"The sessions were dynamic and difficult. My boy came away saying how hard it was and tiring. But, he did say he wanted to do it again. GW of Stratford."

"I must say that the price at first scared us as parents, but now, I see why the price is what it is. The trainer was more than we bargained for. Not only was he on time, but very organized and detailed. He had excellent demonstrations, communicated very well, and my daughter loved his session. For this instruction, he should get more, like tennis instructors do. SL in Fairfield."

"Very professional appearance, demeanor, and approach to teaching. The trainer was informative, detail-oriented, and very enthusiastic. My child left the session tired, but said that she had fun, and learned a lot.  TB in Avon."

"Absolutely intense. The instructor stressed the importance of every touch, the setup, and the final execution. Drills were complicated and done at max speed. It was a workout just watching. I recommend the training only if you are really serious because of it's intensity. LV of Milford."

"It's nice to see the trainer demonstrating everything versus just saying things and having the player do it without seeing it. My son's coaches just talk, but never show them what they want. It was refreshing. MN in Orange."

"The best training session I have ever seen. It was difficult, but challenged my child to new heights. LM of Fairfield."

"My son is a ODP player, but he came away saying that he learned more training with PST than all his other teams combined. The sessions were detailed and showed just how good the trainer was on the ball. The trainer did things with the ball that were astonishing. PT in Simsbury."

"What makes great players and competitors? Not the will to win, as much as, the hatred of losing."
